SMART ENERGIES acquires a 1-MW solar rooftop and enters into a long-term O&M agreement with SOLARIG
Smart Energies strengthens its renewable assets portfolio in France and announces the acquisition of a large solar rooftop located in Ribiers (Hautes-Alpes, France) close to Gap. The solar plant covers a fruits storage building on roughly 9,000 sqm and has a capacity of 1.03 MWp corresponding to a yearly production of more than 1.1 GWh. The project has been developed and built by Solarig. It was commissioned at the end of 2011. Solarig will provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services to the plant through a 7-year O&M contract signed with Smart Energies.
Vianney de l’Estang, CEO of Smart Energies, said: “This new acquisition illustrates our know-how to
source opportunities and complete quick deals on solar PV plants in France. We have also developed a strong experience of the optimal management of a large number of mid-size assets. We are pleased to rely on the professionalism of Solarig for the O&M of our new plant. Solarig, as a pioneer in solar industry, has a long international experience of O&M.”
Jaime Sureda, General Manager of Solarig: “This long-term O&M agreement shows our commitment
